Appearance: A small village with a wooden palisade surrounding the village on three sides, the river on the fourth. Crossing the river is accomplished by way of an old fashioned cable ferry. A large water-wheel mill provides electricity to the village and has a secondary function of creating meal. If it weren’t for the electric lights throughout the village, the place would look straight out of the middle ages.
Primary Defenses: Light steel plates lay between the wooden walls of the palisade. Eight towers are interspersed along the walls containing .30 caliber machinegun emplacements and flamethrowers. Village militia consists of 20 villagers, all armed with crossbows and shortbows, with the occasional gun plus machetes for close in fighting.
Notes: Known throughout the area for it’s intricate wood carving skills, the villagers here are often asked to travel to other towns and ‘steads to work on a house, door, etc. The village tries to maintain a low profile in order to avoid raider and slaver attacks, and when that isn’t possible, it’s people are evacuated to a secret location by boat if possible.
